WOUND CARE

Breast surgery is an invasive technique, so postoperative care is extremely important that will help the recovery process faster and shape the breasts better.

Understanding that, Worldwide Dental & Cosmetic Surgery Hospital has prepared a “Department of wound hygiene at home” that includes:

Department of wound hygiene at home:

• Instruction sheet after taking care of Post surgery
• Povidine, saline
• Bandages, gauze

Wound hygiene instruction:

• Clean: able to bath after 2 days, no rub, no water directly on the incision.
• Medicine applying: apply Povidine into the incision, dry with gauze, rinse the incision twice a day with saline.
• Replace swab at underarm/areola daily.
• First 2 days: cold compress to relieve pain, next 4 days: warm compress to dissolve bruises.
• No sauna in first 4 weeks to avoid interfering with recovery.

FOLLOW-UP

Recovery period:

• No corset bra within 2 months
• Normal activities after no pain
• Breast stabilized and recovered after 3 – 4 weeks

Comply with follow-up schedule:

• Remove thread after 7 days
