BAD BREATH?

Bad breath is a common problem that affects a lot of communication. Bad breath is caused by many factors such as oral causes and other medical diseases.

The usual cause of bad breath is from the mouth, therefore following guideline below to maintain oral hygiene is essential to avoid bad breath:

  • Mouthwash: suck and rinse your mouth with mouthwash 30 seconds to maintain pleasant smell of breath.
  • Use dental floss daily.
  • Brush teeth at least twice a day, clean both tongue and nasopharynx.
  • In cases of dentures, removable bridges or orthodontic appliances, pay attention to the instructions of the dentist.
  • Usually drink water to keep mouth fresh. Proper oral hygiene significantly reduces bad breath.

No smoking, no strong odor food. Vegetables and fruits are allowed. Limit fat and protein.

Regular dental examination help detect and treat early some diseases such as dental caries, pyorrhea that are not detected by patients until the examination combined with X-ray film.

In case bad breath is not from the dental causes, a general health examination must be implemented to detect other diseases
