WHAT ARE PORCELAIN CROWNS?
A porcelain crown, also known as a cap, is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. Crowns are often needed when a large cavity threatens the ongoing health of a tooth. They are typically bonded to the tooth using dental cement. Crowns are often used to improve the strength and appearance of teeth. If the tooth has extensive decay or if there is a risk of infection or injury to the tooth’s pulp, a root canal treatment may be performed first before putting crown on.

Moreover, you can participate in the design process of your smile by choosing the form of teeth, the color of your future smile. Finally you will see your “future smile” before you do porcelain crown.
Pre-crown procedures:
Certain procedures are required before teeth preparation, such as cleaning, deep clean (in case of gum disease), root canal (in case of extremely decay or crooked tooth), post & core, whitening (if the customer is getting crowns only on the upper jaw).
APPOINTMENT 2: PREPARATION, TAKING IMPRESSION AND PUTTING TEMPORARY TEETH
Putting local anesthesia, crown preparation:
Future smile design will help our doctor perform the procedure of preparing your teeth accurately, minimally invasive. The local anesthesia will ensure you feel comfortable during the crown preparation process.
Taking digital impression & Fabrication of the crowns
After preparing your teeth, our doctor will scan your teeth and the data will be immediately transferred to the Lab in house at the hospital. The technician at our Lab will receive, design and make your porcelain crown according to the data and digital impression they received.
Temporary teeth will be made and put in your mouth by the same time, to prevent sensitivity

APPOINTMENT 3 & 4:
Try in and cement your porcelain crown. Adjust your bite. Customer has 1 day to use the new teeth and come back for final checkup the next day..
