DENTAL CROWN

A dental crown is a tooth-like cap placed over a tooth to restore its original shape, appearance, and functionality. It is used for severe cases of chipped, broken, eroded, tilted, or discolored teeth.
For extreme cases of tilted/broken/eroded tooth, a root canal treatment may be required prior to the placement of porcelain dental crown.

Broken/chipped tooth that can’t be restored by filling, veneer, inlay/onlay.
Tooth with a big amalgam filling that needs to be replaced.
Badly discolored teeth due to tetracycline.

DENTAL VENEERS

Dental veneers are thin, custom-made porcelain shells bonded to the front surface of the teeth to enhance their color, shape, and overall appearance. Veneers are a conservative cosmetic solution because they require minimal tooth preparation while providing natural, lifelike translucency. They are ideal for improving the harmony of the smile without altering the full structure of the tooth.

DENTAL BRIDGE

A dental bridge is used to replace missing teeth. They are typically attached to the adjacent teeth next to the missing tooth (also called abutment teeth).

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR DENTAL CROWNS IN VIETNAM?

Full mouth restoration requires approximately 7-10 days, including 4-5 appointments.

Appointment 1:

Perform general examination, take a Cone Beam CT X-ray, perform digital scan, and take pictures. Our doctors (dental crown specialists) will develop a treatment plan. If required, any other procedure such as cleaning, deep cleaning, root canal, etc. will be performed during this appointment.

Appointment 2:

Our doctors will guide the patient through the process of color and shape selection, then prepare teeth for the procedure and take an impression for the study cast. The doctors will place temporary covering on the teeth to reduce sensitivity. The temporary covering is only for aesthetic reasons and not for functionality. The patient will then wait 2-3 days for our in-house laboratory to make the porcelain crowns.

Appointment 3:

Try-in and dental crown placement. Our doctors will try on the crowns for patients, perform a occlusion check and make adjustment as necessary.

Appointment 4 & 5:

Check-ups and make adjustments as necessary.

It is recommended that patients have an oral check-up and cleaning every 6 months, either at our dental center in Vietnam or with any local dental crown specialist.
